When you are involved with the Kettle Moraine YMCA, you help bring about lasting personal and social change. Whether you want to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve your or your family's health and well-being, or give back and support your neighbors, your involvement with the Y will positively impact those in your community.
Our volunteers have varying talents and abilities, but the majority fall under the following categories:
Coach our sports teams and teach many of our classes.
Participate in opportunities that give back and support neighbors whether it is in the office, at the front desk, in the lobbies or on the grounds.
Raise funds to ensure the Y is accessible to all members of the community.
Lead our Board of Directors, committees or task forces.
Volunteers in YMCA programs go through a similar interview and training process as paid staff. This process ensures the best fit for new volunteers, while also ensuring the safety of our members, participants, staff, and other volunteers.
Please note that youth are more than welcome to volunteer as long as, like adults, they have the proper skills, training and supervision. Both the youth and their parent will need to sign off on the youth volunteer agreement.
Between 3pm and 6pm, Monday thru Friday
Homework help, assisting with open swim and the Youth Fit For Life program. Facilitating the daily schedule communicating with the staff.
Good communication skills, experience working with children.

Youth General/Healthy Living
Part-time; Weekday afternoons/early evenings, approximately 2-3 hrs a wk when program is in session
Motivating, demonstrating and helping Special Needs Individuals of varying ability levels in an exercise class setting.
Applicant must be patient, easy going, and comfortable interacting with Special Needs Individuals with all types of disabilities. Must feel comfortable participating in and demonstrating exercises, as well as, willing to take direction/guidance from support staff and fitness instructors on how to meet the needs of the participants. Prior experience would be a plus but not required.
