How can I rejoin when this crisis has passed?
You can rejoin the Y by clicking the link below or by calling our staff at: West Washington Branch (262)-334-3405 or Feith Family Ozaukee Branch (262)-268-9622. Click here to join online

What new cleaning/sanitizing protocols have been implemented?
Safety and cleanliness are very important to the Y. We have invested in new products for use to clean equipment. Staff are being trained on the new protocols and expectations, and we have worked closely with our staff to focus on high traffic/use areas throughout the day. We will continue with our nightly deep cleaning. There will also be additional staff working to assist members in cleaning equipment and high touch areas during our operating hours to ensure safe facilities for all.

When is the Y open?
The Y reopened on Tuesday, May 26th with regular business hours. Click here for details.

How do I know if my program credit is on my account?
Winter 2 Session and Spring Session credit vouchers have been placed on your Y account for future use towards programs and services. We are working through adding Summer 1 and Summer 2 Session credit vouchers to accounts now.

Is there space for my children to use the Y on their own like before?
Unfortunately, no one under the age of 13 will be allowed in our facilities. During phase 1 of our reopening the services available are strength training and cardio exercise only.  These services have always been available to 13 and up only. We realize this impacts the enjoyment of the Y and it is our hope this is a temporary challenge.

Do you have to wear a face mask at the Y?
The YMCA is dedicated to the health and safety of our members, staff, and community. Therefore, we are following the guidelines given by the Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department Blueprint for reopening. It is recommended that a face-covering be worn when entering and exiting the facility and whenever possible, especially in common areas. Staff in direct service or housekeeping will be required to wear a mask.

Do I have to pay a joining fee?
Anyone who canceled their Y membership due to COVID-19 will be exempt from paying a joining fee through Labor Day of 2020.

Why is there no towel service?
We are following the guidelines from the Washington and Ozaukee Health Department, CDC, and the State of Wisconsin. Handling of dirty towels and laundry is also of high concern given the significant contagiousness of COVID-19. The Y has suspended towel service, kit lockers, laundry service and coffee service indefinitely. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to navigate re-opening.

Who can use branch facilities?
Anyone over the age of 13 is welcome to use our facilities for strength training and cardio exercise.  Our pools will be available for 16 and up only. Unfortunately, no one under the age of 13 will be allowed in facilities except for licensed child care. We have not designated any specific times for seniors but they are encouraged to use our River Shores Branch. Please note that our River Shores branch is ages 18 and up.

Why aren't you opening babysitting?
We are following the guidelines from the Washington and Ozaukee Health Department, CDC, and the State of Wisconsin. We will keep you posted on updates through email, website and social media. We realize this impacts the amenities of the Y and it is our hope this is a temporary challenge.

What is the status of Summer sessions?
Summer 1 and Summer 2 sessions are canceled. The Y is working on offering a modified outdoor youth baseball program. We are following the guidelines from the Washington and Ozaukee Health Department, CDC, and the State of Wisconsin. We will keep you posted on updates through email, website and social media.

Why is open gym, basketball, pickleball, racquetball and indoor group fitness classes canceled?
We are following the guidelines from the Washington and Ozaukee Health Department which state contact sports or sports that 6 foot distancing cannot be maintained are cancelled. Due to the 25% capacity restriction we have repurposed all gymnasiums into strength training and cardio exercise spaces so there are not areas to offer pickleball. We are working with the Health Department on a plan to offer group fitness classes in the near future. We will keep you posted on updates through email, website and social media.

Will I receive a discount during COVID-19?

We are going to do our best as an organization to continue to provide value to our members. Although things will change for some time, at this moment, the price structure will remain the same. This will allow us to remain open and continue to do the work we do in the future and grow and build after this difficult time. We appreciate all our members and your understanding.

How can I help the Y meet community needs following COVID-19?

In times like these the impact of everyone coming together is more important than ever. You can help our community by donating blood at local blood drives, donating food to local food pantries, or help donate to the Y at the link here.
