All teens have great potential. At the Y, we help them set and achieve their personal and educational goals. They gain confidence as they recognize the Y as a place where they belong and can feel comfortable exploring new interests and passions. We make sure that every teen in Washington and Ozaukee counties has the opportunity to envision a positive future, and to take an active role in strengthening the community.
Teens are a tremendous community asset — their talents, their enthusiasm, their energy. The Y has always recognized the importance of engaging our young members in positive and healthy ways with programs designed around their diverse needs and interests. We share your commitment to helping pre-teens and teens become strong, capable adults and preparing them for important roles in communities of the future.
Children and teens’ future success is fostered by caring adults who make them feel loved, competent, happy and healthy today. That’s why Y staff and volunteers are also mentors and role models, sharing a part of this very important—but very inspiring—responsibility in helping youth realize who they are and what they are capable of achieving.
