Update Friday, July 31
Face Covering/Mask Policy (Updated 7/31/20)
For detailed information on executive orders please click the link below.
Do I need to wear a face covering when I exercise?
Per the executive order it depends on where you are exercising. You do not need to wear a face covering if you are exercising in a private residence or outdoors. For example, you do not need to wear a mask if you are riding your bike on a trail. But you do need to wear a face covering if you are exercising indoors or in an enclosed space and other people are present, such as a gym, or studio.
Face coverings may be temporarily removed during the following situations:
· When you are eating or drinking
· When you are communicating with someone who is deaf or hard of hearing and you cannot communicate while wearing a mask.
· While in pool/whirlpool
· Working as a lifeguard or group fitness /swim instructor
· While you are showering
· While you are changing clothes
We understand that some people will not be wearing a mask in the facility due to some of the exemptions in the executive order and/or underlying conditions and we will respect the privacy of our members by not questioning them. I hope this helps you make a decision regarding continuing to exercise in a way that you feel is healthy.

Update Thursday, May 21
We are excited to be opening on Tuesday, May 26th with our phase 1 reopening plans AND are thrilled to let you know that we are working on a strategy to offer group fitness classes at the Y. We understand the importance of maintaining your health-not only physically, but mentally as well and realize that group fitness classes may be a huge part of that. We are working closely with the Washington and Ozaukee Health department on details; thank you so much for your patience. We can’t wait to see you back at the Y.
