Ages 12-17

The YMCA Swim Lessons Curriculum is a core group of aquatic skills every person needs to be safe around water. As the foundation of our program, these skills allow students to learn correct swim stroke techniques. Students begin with and build upon skills they are ready to learn, helping them to celebrate their successes, build self-confidence, and enjoy learning to swim and water safety. 

Aquatic Conditioning ages 6-14

Aquatic Conditioning is one offering from the competitive pathway students can pursue following YMCA swim lessons. The program continues to build endurance on all major competitive strokes and encourages aquatic sports and games as a part of a healthy lifestyle. 

Participants are strongly encouraged to complete Stage 6: Stroke Mechanics prior to registering for this class. 


Barracudas Swim Team Prep ages 6 and up

Join our Barracudas Swim Team Prep class! You will be taught the basic strokes for swim team and start building endurance to swim further and faster. 

Participants must have completed stage 6 swim lessons. 


Endurance, Sports and Games ages 6-14

Endurance, Sports and Games is one offering from the recreation pathway students can pursue following YMCA Swim Lessons. The program continues to build endurance on all major competitive strokes and encourages aquatic sports and games as a part of a healthy lifestyle.

Participants are strongly encouraged to complete Stage 6: Stroke Mechanics prior to registering for this class. 


Pre Teen/Teen Swim Lessons ages 10-17

For beginner to intermediate swimmers, learn to swim comfortably for up to 25 yards on the front and back. 


Stroke Fundamentals ages 18 and up

This class focuses on stroke techniques. This class is great for anyone looking to swim for exercise or for triathletes looking to compete.
