Pilates is a conditioning fitness class that focuses on body alignment and breathing. The exercises focus on all core powerhouse muscle groups including the abdominals, lower back, shoulders, thighs and glutes.

A Typical Class

The six primary principles in every Pilates workouts are control, center, concentration, precision, breathing and flow. Class begins with warm-up exercises centering on the abdominals. The focus then shifts to other exercises that work the other muscles of the core. Class ends with stretching and restorative moves.
