PURSUING A POSTIVE FUTURE
Youth in Government
Grades 7th - 12th
Youth in Government is a nation wide program that encourages lifelong responsible citizenship and gives teens the opportunity to study the lawmaking process by actively participating in state government. However, it is much more than just learning about government. This program builds self-confidence through public speaking and interacting with peers from across the state, and in some cases, the country.
The year culminates with all of the Wisconsin YIG participants descending upon the State Capital to present bills, try cases and create lasting friendships.
