FAQ's

  • Why should I give to
    the Y?

Your support is integral in helping the YMCA continue our commitment to providing quality programs to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. You benefit from having a strong YMCA in your community. Our programs for youth provide meaningful opportunities for young people to grow into responsible adults. The YMCA makes your community a better place to live and work.
  • Doesn't the Y receive funding from United Way?
No, the Kettle Moraine YMCA does not receive any United Way funding.
  • Why should I give when
I already pay monthly membership dues?

Membership dues and programs fees cover the cost of maintaining and operating YMCA facilities and programs. Donations to the Annual Scholarship Campaign provide financial assistance for individuals and families who cannot afford membership or programs fees, but can benefit from participating in our programs.
  • Is my gift tax-deductible?
We greatly appreciate your gift, which is fully deductible as a charitable contribution. The Kettle Moraine YMCA is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization and registered with the I.R.S. Tax ID #39-1175559.
  • How can I double my donation?
Do you or your spouse work for a company that matches charitable donations? Contact your HR department to find out! A simple form may be all it takes to double or even triple the impact of your gifts!

Ways to Give

Together we can build a better us.

Annual Campaign

You know the challenges we face in Washington and Ozaukee counties, but just like the Y, you see the opportunity to make a difference. The Y is your partner, standing with you to strengthen our community.

Everything the Y does is in service of building a better us. From athletics, to education, to health services, to safe spaces, the Y fills the gaps where society falls short. Because we believe every person and every community deserves the chance to thrive.

Every day, our communities face new challenges that create a greater need for the work we do. And we need your help to do it. Your gift can help Washington and Ozaukee counties and everyone in it shine.

Why Invest in the Annual Campaign?

The Kettle Moraine YMCA is committed to providing quality programs and facilities to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. While we strive to keep values-based programs and fees affordable by subsidizing some of the real costs, we know that during difficult times some individuals and families will need financial assistance.

Through the Annual Campaign, we are able to ensure that no one is turned away based on their ability to pay. Your volunteer and financial commitment will help thousands of youth and families share their Y experience!

Heritage Club – Planned Giving

The members of the YMCA Heritage Club are men and women who believe in the mission of the Y, share its ideals and traditions and have made a commitment to ensure that this heritage is continued for future generations. They have made specific gifts to the Kettle Moraine YMCA Endowment Fund, ensuring the Y’s ability to be a positive force in this community for years to come.

The purpose of this club is to encourage thoughtful gifts as a primary means of building a strong endowment capable of providing lasting support for the Y’s mission and to recognize the members whose leadership, service and devotion to the Y has created this heritage.

Heritage Club members meet annually to enjoy fellowship, find inspiration in the Y’s work and learn how their contribution is making their community a better place to live, work and play.

Planned gifts can offer significant tax advantages and, in some cases, generate lifetime income for your chosen beneficiary. Talk to your lawyer or financial planner about your options, or give us a call—we'd love to help you find the best way to extend your legacy.

How you can become a Heritage Club member:

Membership in the Heritage Club requires a commitment which now, or in the future, will contribute to the YMCA’s Endowment Fund. An outright minimum gift of $2,500 or naming the YMCA Endowment Fund as a beneficiary for $10,000 or more qualifies you for membership.

There are a variety of gift options available:

  • Making an outright gift of cash, appreciated securities, property
    or other marketable assets
  • Including the YMCA Endowment Fund as a beneficiary in your will or living trust
  • Naming the YMCA Endowment Fund as a beneficiary of a new or existing
life insurance policy, IRA, pension plan or bank account
  • Creating a charitable trust or annuity that directs all or a portion of the
remaining assets to the YMCA Endowment Fund

In the case of a will or other deferred gift, the amount need not be revealed, but if one chooses to do so, it will aid in our long range planning.
