Gym Closures/Class Cancellations - West Washington Branch

We will be hosting our annual Gymnastics Meet “Under the Big Top” Please note the following cancellations due to the event:

  • Track and East gyms will close at 4pm on Friday, February 26 and re-open on Monday, February 29 at 4:30am when the building opens.
  • Open Family Playtime for Friday, February 26 is cancelled for both the AM and PM sessions.
  • All gymnastics classes and parkour classes are cancelled for the first Saturday of the Winter 2 session. Volleyball and Saturday morning Zumba are also cancelled. Program fees were reflected with this cancellation.


Please stop in and cheer on the Dynamites as they compete against 10 other YMCAs from across the state. More than 450 gymnasts will be here over the course of the weekend competing. There are also raffle baskets and concessions available for purchase.


New Partnerships with West Bend Schools, Riveredge Nature Center and Cedar Community

We are excited to offer 4K at four area locations. Starting in Fall 2016, the optional program will be offered at no cost to families who live in the West Bend School District attendance area. If you reside in a different school district, open enrollment information is available at the West Bend School District. This high quality program will be taught by certified, licensed teachers. The program will focus on early reading and math skills, language development, and social and emotional growth. All locations will offer both morning and afternoon sessions.

Movie Night at the Y - West Washington Branch

Bring your sleeping bags, camping chairs, pillows, and of course snacks and enjoy a great family movie!
Free event for members! Community Participants can pay $15 for a day pass for the entire family.

Bike Bonanza - West Washington Branch

Missing those summer family bike rides? Well now you can bring your bike and ride on our indoor obstacle course in the Track Gym then afterwards make sure to stop in and swim in the adventure pool. Be sure to bring your bike helmet! FREE for members! Community Participants can purchase a Day Pass at each visit.

Cardiac Rehab Maintenance Program

Starts February 1
$50 with complementary membership

The Cardiac Rehab Maintenance program is designed to help you keep your health a priority in a supportive and
supervised setting, if you have experienced a recent cardiac event. In a small group setting you will continue to work on your health through cardiovascular exercise, strength training, nutrition and stress management. This program is for individuals who have completed their initial cardiac rehabilitation and have received clearance from their treating physician to participate.


Kettle Moraine Soccer League (KMSL) Sign Up - West Washington Branch

U12 Girls, U12 Coed, U14 Girls, U14 Coed
The Kettle Moraine YMCA is a member of the Kettle Moraine Soccer League (KMSL). Please visit www.kmsl.org for more information. Teams will practice at least one time a week and play games mostly on Saturdays. Teams will have away games throughout the season. Teams are coached by volunteer parents who determine their practice day and time. Participants must sign up for KMSL on one of the following dates at the Kettle Moraine YMCA.

Teen Nights - West Washington Branch

Teen nights bring together teens from across Washington County to engage in fun, safe activities through a partnership with the Kettle Moraine YMCA, the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County and STAND. Teens have the opportunity to make new friends while having fun in a drug and alcohol free environment. Check out the open gym, Wii, Xbox, air hockey and ping pong, plus enjoy free food and music! Cancer Survivor Support Groups - West Washington Branch

Offered through a partnership with Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin St. Joseph’s Hospital

Whether you have completed our LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA program or not, any survivor is welcome to attend! Each month will focus on a different topic. These FREE classes run on Wednesdays from 6:00pm-7:30pm in the BMO Conference Room.

Childhood Wellness Series - West Washington Branch

This workshop series for parents on youth wellness covers topics from healthy body images and setting positive eating environments to interactive food workshops and the importance of sleep for children. The Division Of Responsibility - The Ideal Roles Of Both Parents And Children In Eating

We will discuss these responsibilities and how to work towards this balance of roles, as well as what does/can happen when this balance is disrupted. We will also look at the risks and health outcomes of unbalanced eating responsibilities, including disordered eating - over-eating, under-eating and picky eating.

Taking Care Of Cold And Flus

Gymnastics Under the Big Top Invitational - West Washington Branch

February 27 & 28, 2016
Come cheer on the Kettle Moraine YMCA’s Dynamite Gymnastics Team as they host the 2016 Gymnastics Under the Big Top Invitational! A concession stand will be open for snacks and drinks. Dynamites will be selling raffle tickets for some great prizes. And Gym Treasures will be selling leotards and other Gymnastics Gear.

There will be no other gymnastics classes on 2/26, 2/27 and 2/28 due to the Gymnastics home meet.


Moving For Better Balance - River Shores Branch

Class runs March 1 - May 19, 2016. Cost is $60.

Moving For Better Balance is a falls prevention program that uses the principles and movements of Tai Chi to help older adults increase their strength, improve their balance, and increase their confidence in doing everyday activities. Maple Sugarin' Open House - Riveredge Nature Center

Program at Riveredge Nature Center, 4458 County Rd Y, Saukville, WI 53080
Riveredge’s Open House will take you on a journey through the sugarbush where you will experience the maple sugarin’ season like never before. Along the way, you’ll learn how to tap a maple tree, participate in arts and crafts, enjoy live music and much more. When you reach the evaporator, you’ll see how sap is transformed into syrup and enjoy our famous pancakes and real maple syrup. Refreshments are available for purchase. There is a maximum of 25 participants for each tour. Preregistration suggested by calling Riveredge directly at 262-375-2715.

Triathlon Training - West Washington Branch

April 9-June 4; Saturdays from 8:00am-9:00am in the Large Pool; 9:15am-10:15am in the Cycling Studio
Are you looking to complete a triathlon this year? Allow Tim Luft, IRONMAN® competitor, to help you reach your goal. Tim’s 9-week Triathlon Training program will not only prep you physically for the event, but he will also educate you on event day nutrition, gear and transitions. During each session expect to:

    • Improve your endurance in the pool and work on stroke techniques with aqua-tech experts.
    • Spend time “in the saddle” on our indoor cycling bikes.
    • Increase your stamina through run/walk workouts.

In addition to the training, each participant will receive a race day packet with a dry-fi t shirt and swim cap. Healthy Living with Diabetes - West Washington Branch

FREE class that runs April 19 - May 24
Tuesdays from 1:30pm-4:00pm in the Pool Obs. Room
Offered through a partnership with Aurora Health Care

Learn self-management skills and increase your confidence in managing your diabetes. While you may see a physician or another health care provider several times a year, most days you are the one who controls your diabetes through monitoring, nutrition, exercise and managing your symptoms.
