Across the nation nearly 1.3 million participants will partake in games, healthy cooking demonstrations, arts and crafts and more.

The Y believes in the potential of all children, and we strive to help kids find the Wow! factor inside themselves. Tree Climbing - Riveredge Nature Center

Many have caught on that climbing trees (safely) is a lot of fun! Using the same professional equipment, thatarborists use, recreational tree climbers circle the globe finding special trees to ascend. There is an implied respect for nature as you look up from the forest floor and, later, swing among its branches. It can be peaceful; it can be exhilarating and great family fun!Tree climbing is a wonderful source of exercise andphysical fitness. It’s a great chance to also clear your mind from every day thoughts and focus on “being here, now.”We use a pulley system to make it easier for those who need an extra hand.
