PUTTING OUR VALUES INTO ACTION

Core Values

To ensure that all members and community participants enjoy a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment. Every person who steps through the door of the Kettle Moraine Y is asked to uphold the four core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring.

Age Use Policy

Children under the age of 8 must have direct supervision at all times by a supervising individual who is 18 years or older, unless participating in a supervised class. Children 8 and older may be unaccompanied but need to check in at the Welcome Desk with a membership card. In the pool, children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a supervising individual who is within arm’s reach at all times. Children wanting to use the deep end or the diving board must pass a swim test given by the lifeguard. The Y cares about the health and safety of our members and guests. Please keep in mind that there are inherent risks related to any physical activity.

Check-In Procedure

A membership card is issued to members 8 years of age and older. Members must present their membership card at the Welcome Desk to gain entry into the facility, each time they visit the Y. If a member forgets his/her card, the member must verify membership with a photo ID. Membership cards are non-transferable. Replacement cards are available for $5.

Weather Related Closing Policy

Our buildings usually remain open during inclement weather. However, we do cancel classes and programs. Please read our Weather Related Closing Policy for more details.

Photo ID

Guests over the age of 18 are required to present a photo ID. For your safety the Y denies membership, access to the facility and/or participation to registered sex offenders.

Towel Service

Towel service is exclusively for members. Community participants are asked to bring their own towels.

Locks And Lockers

Members and community participants using lockers at the River Shores location are asked to bring their own padlock. All members and community participants using lockers at the West Washington location must leave their membership card or participant pass in exchange for a key to a locker. Individuals who lose locker keys will be charged a $20 replacement fee. The Kettle Moraine YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen property. You are strongly encouraged to lock your belongings.

Locker Rooms & Shower Facilities

Family & Special Needs Locker Room: This locker room is for special needs individuals and families. Youth 7 and under must be accompanied by a supervising individual. Adults with opposite sex children ages 4 and older must use the family locker room.
Boys & Girls Locker Rooms (Upstairs): Youth ages 7 and under must be accompanied by a supervising individual while using the locker room facilities. Youth ages 3 and under may use the opposite sex locker room if accompanied by a supervising individual. Youth ages 4 and older must use the same gender locker room and showers or the Family/Special Needs Locker room with a supervising individual.
Men & Women Adult Locker Rooms (Downstairs): Adults ages 18 and older are permitted to use the adult locker rooms.

Say Cheese

From time to time, photographs may be taken of participants to use for promotional purposes. These pictures will be used in publications, on our web site and facebook page. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please notify the photographer and/or class instructor. The Y is not responsible for photos taken by parents of children on field trips.

Cancelled Classes/Credits/Refunds

Classes lacking sufficient enrollment may be cancelled. If this happens you may transfer to another class, receive a credit or receive a refund. If you need to withdraw from a class before it begins we will be happy to issue a credit voucher, refunds are not given. Class dates that land on holidays or are cancelled for inclement weather are not refundable and do not qualify for a credit.

Electronic Devices

The use of digital cameras, camcorders, cell phones and other electronic devices capable of recording an image are prohibited in all locker rooms and restrooms.
