Job Duties:

Coordinator is responsible for developing, delivering and managing School Age Child Care programming in order to ensure a safe and developmentally appropriate environment for children. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for supervising staff and overseeing the day to day operation of our School Age programs.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of child care experience, with some supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required
  • A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are also necessary
  • Degree in a related field or CDA required
  • Minimum age is 21
  • Candidates must be responsible and energetic

The following are requred within 90 days of employment:

  • CPR/AED Certification • Health & TB Test

  • Registry Certification

Classroom Hours Monday-Thursday; Friday mornings as required by the Port Washington Saukville School District (PWSSD) and YMCA.

Job Duties:

Under the supervision of the School Age Director and in accordance with the policies of the Feith Family Ozaukee YMCA, the Four-Year-Old Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for daily activities of the morning and afternoon Licensed K4 programs. Other responsibilities include working in partnership with the Port Washington-Saukville School District and complying with the curriculum set by the PWSSD and the YMCA.

Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess Bachelor’s Degree in education, with a DPI Certificate to teach Early Childhood (K4).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. The selected candidates will be a passionate advocate for early childhood education.
2. The teacher must possess strong classroom management skills and demonstrate a good command of teaching skills incorporating high-yield activities, especially in early literacy development.
3. Demonstrated experience with early childhood education, including experiential learning and thematic lessons.
4. Must obtain a certificate from The Registry within 3 months of assuming position.
5. Must comply with Wisconsin State licensing standards.
6. Occasionally lifts, transports or moves up to 50 pounds.
7. Must possess professional and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Uphold and exemplify the policies and guidelines of the YMCA and PWSSD at all times.
9. Attend YMCA and PWSSD meetings and professional developments that are required.
